1. Can your license be revoked or suspended for Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle? (MN 152.027) Defend your answer.
2. You observe a vehicle driving “carelessly” in the parking lot of Target at 1:00AM with no other people or vehicles in the lot. If you find their license is suspended through a routine check of their license plate, could you ticket and/or arrest the driver with Driving After Suspension?
3. Currently, if you receive a citation and don’t pay the fine or appear in court, the DMV can suspend your driver’s license as a method to encourage your cooperation. Legislators across the Country are examining alternatives to suspending people’s driver’s licenses because it could be considered discriminatory toward low income people and/or people of color.
