“Can Amazon be stopped?
Did you know that 76.6 million households in America have Amazon Prime now? This number is up from 60 million just five years ago. More households’ now have Amazon Prime than home phones. We know about all the basic offerings that got them to where they are now such as free 2-day shipping, free returns and next day shipping for a very competitive price. That’s not what I want to focus on. I believe that it’s all the little things they do that got them be the global titan of the industry that they are now. Amazon tracks what you have purchased and links it up with similar purchases from others like you. They then send notifications to your device telling you what you might be interested in. They send you notifications on sales, hot new items, as well as subscriptions options to help you save money and time on items you purchase regularly. Is the era of mom-and-pop shops officially over? After all, how can they be competitive with the pricing, convenience and streamlined services that Amazon offers. What does this mean for up-and-coming business’s, the consumer market, and pre-existing retail stores? Unfortunately, I don’t believe they stand a chance. ”
