Please watch the documentary – The First 8 Weeks: 9 Months that Made You and Nature and Nurture in Psychology. A. Discuss the challenges psychologist face when trying to determine whether personality traits, temperament, or other psychological aspects are caused by nature or nurture.
Imagine that you are a developmental psychologist and using either your own individual development or your observations of human beings in general as evidence, please answer the following: What aspects of your or others personality do you attribute to nature? What aspects of your or others personality do you attribute to nurture? How did you draw these conclusions? Consider a brief counterargument to your conclusions. Please provide specific examples and a logical explanation based on the readings in the eText and exploration pages for why you see these aspects of personality as more influenced by nature or nurture.
