Write an essay in which you compare a particular scientific explanation of the origin and/or structure of the world and a similar religious creation narrative/myth, such as one found in the “Portfolio of Creation Myths” or in a book or website containing a variety of such myths.

See the essay instructions below. Your essay must meet the minimum requirements to receive full credit for a first draft.

1. Write an essay in which you compare a particular scientific explanation of the origin and/or structure of the world and a similar religious creation narrative/myth, such as one found in the “Portfolio of Creation Myths” or in a book or website containing a variety of such myths.

Submit your essay as an attached document in Microsoft Word in one of the following formats: .doc or .pdf.

2. It should include a heading (also double-spaced) in the upper left corner with the following information: Your name, title of course, instructor’s name, due date, and the prompt number you’ve chosen.

3. It should include a title that reflects the focus of your essay. This title should not simply repeat the title of one or more of our readings. It should be centered and follow the heading.
