1) What do you believe are the reasons why a student would bully another student?
Support your ideas by using evidence from the essay “Autobiography of a Face” by Lucy Grealy and from your own experience or observation. You may also use evidence from “Teenage Bullies” by Jennifer Goodwin.
2) In her essay “Disability,” Nancy Mairs examines media depictions of disability and argues that the media must treat disability as normal. The essay was published in 1987 in the New York_Times. Do you believe that Mairs’s critique is still valid in today’s society? Explain and support your ideas with evidence.
3) Is it harmful or helpful or both for children to try to live up to the expectations of parents or other authority figures? Support your position by using evidence from Langston Hughes’ “Salvation” and from your own experience or observations.
