Describe the mean and median, and what makes them both similar and different.

I need these 4 questions answered with atleast 250 words for each response. Thank you!

1. What is a population, and what is a sample? What are some ways to create samples from populations, and what are the characteristics of these different approaches? What are some problems in sampling that could create biased samples?

2. Describe the mean and median, and what makes them both similar and different. In normally distributed data, should the mean and median be fairly similar? What happens to the mean and median if data are positively or negatively skewed? Which moves more in these type of skewed data?

3. What are the characteristics of a normal distribution? What is the standard normal, and what properties does it have, in terms of mean, standard deviation, and general shape? What do we know about proportional areas under parts of the standard normal, and how does this help us in terms of probability?

4. What is sampling error? Why is sampling error important to consider whenever we take a sample from a population? How does sampling error relate to sampling distributions?
