1. Discuss the development, strengths, weaknesses, and legacy of ancient Greece.
Directions to be followed for exam essay questions:
1. Answer the question “1. Discuss the development, strengths, weaknesses and legacy of ancient Greece.” and do so in detail supporting your statements with a minimum of three exact quotes followed by page numbers from the textbook (pages have been attached). No web sources are permissible. It must be a HIST 1010 survey textbook that is permissible, by me, for use in the class.
2. Be sure to indicate which essay question you are answering. For example, if you select question “1” for the first exam, indicate this at the top of your essay and then you answer all parts of question “1.”
4. Exam essay is to be no more than the equivalent of two typed, double-spaced pages.
At least three exact quotes followed by page numbers from the text are required. If there are no exact quotes (not paraphrasing) no credit will be given for the essay. Example: “Your chosen quote from the textbook typed in quotation marks”, (Author’s last name, page number) Specific example: “According to the text, “Europe……………” (Berger, 421) (required text in attachments)
A bibliographic entry for the text used is required at the end of the essay. -15 points if this is not included.
