Figure out a question about the world you live in, by way of observation.
Figure out if that question is possible to answer in a month’s time. Then, formulate your question in a way that will help you answer it and will make sense to others. Then find a methodology that you think will help you answer your question. Justify your methodology. Find two writers/filmmakers/scholars who inspire you and consider a similar question as yours. Explain their argument and why they inspire you. Enact your methodology so to answer your question (do your research!). Then explain (in the way that your methodology suggests) what you discovered. Finally, describe what went well and what didn’t—both in your research and in your role as a researcher and graduate student, and a human being.

In a 500-word essay, first explain how
