Watch the videos below that describe what 3 major companies in the U.S. ‘do’ (or don’t do) to motivate employees.
Keep in mind that each company embeds these practices in their organizational culture. In other words, the motivation (or de-motivation) practices are not just separate techniques tried out as ‘one-off’ approaches but rather part of the larger ethos–or ways of doing business–at these companies. So it is important to view these practices as threads in a larger fabric of culture (norms, social expectations, rituals, ways of talking/interacting, etc.) at each company.
