Students will write response papers to the material assigned for any two of the course sessions. Response papers should be 2-4 pages double-spaced (12-point font) and should clearly explain both the argument presented in the course material and the student’s response. Response papers are due two times during the semester (see dates below). Grades will be lowered for late papers. Each response paper will be worth 10% of the final grade for a total of 20%.
Students will write a sociological research paper based off a selection of topics. More information will follow as to the details of the paper. The paper will be worth 30% of the final grade.
