To get an understanding of the Rampart problems through the videos, readings and class lecture. Based on your text and the assigned reading respond to the following issues. You must address the following:
• What were the causes of the Rampart scandal?
• What level of corruption was present in this incident (see text for levels). Explain your answer.
• Describe the explanations for the scandal (see PowerPoint and text)
• What actions were taken to address the scandal? Did the actions address the causes you identified? Which ones were not addressed?
• What could be done differently to address the issues in Rampart? Discuss individual and organizational
factors.
