What does it tell you about those elected people in Congress who would not support the legislation?

When Congress approved President Biden’s 1.9 trillion dollar COVID Relief Bill which was intended to help those suffering economically because of the pandemic. Economics and politics seeped into the legislation at every level. Money did extend unemployment insurance, gave funds to the states and local communities and offered other economic support to those out of work, or who are healthcare, food and/or housing insecure.

However, not one Republican in the House of Representative or Senate voted for the bill. Eight Democratic U.S. senators refused to support the legislation unless and until the federal $15.00 minimum wage add-on was removed from the bill. Once removed they signed.

What does it tell you about those elected people in Congress who would not support the legislation? Is it just a matter of politics or do you think these people, all if not most are millionaires, sincerely think voting against the bill or the minimum wage hike is the best action to support the nation?
