For this Discussion Board assignment you will be required to create a thread with a brief list and discussion of some of your favorite artworks and artists along with links or images of the artwork, and you will be required to reply to the threads of at least two (2) other students.
The purpose of this Discussion Board is for students to discuss their experience with one of the big Humanities genres – visual art – and to recommend artworks to others and find new art to explore.
Create your favorite art thread:
Click on “Create Thread”
Type your name as the “Subject” for the thread
In the “Message” box, type your list, links, and discussion of your favorite artworks and artists:
List at least 3 of your favorite visual artists – painters, sculptors, illustrators, designers, etc. from any time period or culture.
For each of the 3 artists that you list, briefly describe why you like them so much in at least 3-4 sentences. Each artist should have a separate discussion of at least 3-4 sentences in length (3 total discussions).
List at least 3 of your favorite artworks by the artists listed above (1 artwork for each artist = 3 artworks total).
For each of these artworks, find a digital image on the web to share what the artwork looks like with the class!
Embed the digital image into your post, or just copy & paste the URL (web address) for the image into your post next to the name of the artwork.
DO NOT COPY & PASTE OR OTHERWISE PLAGIARIZE YOUR WRITTEN RESPONSES – you must write in your own words. Plagiarism will result in a zero assignment grade and academic penalties.
