We have seen a building distrust of the legal system by persons of color. For your paper please research the history of this issue citing examples. Discuss how the courts have both positively
addressed these issues and contributed to them. Discuss how other parts of the criminal justice system and our laws
have both positively addressed these issues and contributed to them. Discuss possible reforms of the criminal justice
system that might return trust to the system.
Your paper should be 5-7 pages in length and is both a research and reflection paper.
This is obviously a sensitive
