“Find an existing blog that interests you and has current, consistent entries (at least three entries in the past month). Look over that blog and note its styling and formatting.
Imagine that you are the author of that blog, or a guest writer who will write three (3) different posts for your chosen blog. Create your posts, complete with images and formatting as you would want it to appear on the page. Note that you do NOT need to actually post a blog anywhere; simply create the page in a Word Processing document to look as it would if it were online.”
PARAMETERS:
1. Title for each post (something ENGAGING to attract readers)
2. Formatting as you want it to appear on the site (NOT MLA or APA, not double-spaced, etc.)
3. No fewer than 200 and no more than 400 words per post (total of 600-1200 words)
4. Include at least three images (does not necessarily have to be one per post).
a. Any images not found under free use must use the following caption, in an 8-pt. font, right-aligned under the image, in italics: Photo courtesy [link]
b. Photos may be original; if so, use the following caption, formatted and aligned as described above. Photo courtesy [your first and last name]
5. Consider the audience of this blog and write at an appropriate level of difficulty and formality
6. Each post should be on its own page following a page break
NOTES:
This does not have to be researched or carry any sources (other than photo attribution), but it can be if you prefer. If you use outside sources, be sure to cite them somehow (use the style of your choosing since there is no standard style for blogs, or if the blog you’re using cites sources regularly, follow that style.
**I have attached examples of Blogs in the past from previous students in this class. Be sure to use these to help out the assignment.
