First of all, it is worth considering that Adeline, Ye Xian had a bad relationship with Niang. When Adeline came home from winning an award the stepmother said that she won something. She didn’t like it because she saw that Adeline won something instead of her own kids. The stepmother mistreated her and showed preference to her own daughter.
