1. Post a picture of your completed experiment showing osmosis in living cells using cucumber slices.
2. Explain your results in no less than 4 complete sentences.
A proper explanation should address:
-Overview of your results.
-What conclusions can be drawn from your experiment.
-What is the overall meaning of your results (think real world relevance).
-What factors could have affected your results.
Example of a results explanation
(This example is for a hypothetical experiment, testing how quickly mold grows on wheat vs. white bread).
At the end of the experiment, 75% of the white bread was covered in visible mold while only 25% of the wheat bread had coverage. We can conclude from this that mold grows more rapidly on white bread, as more of this bread type was covered in the same period of time. Based on these results, I would expect a loaf of white bread to last less time than a loaf of wheat bread, because it will start to get moldy sooner. The dish that the white bread was placed in had been recently washed and may have still been damp, which could have encouraged mold growth outside of the experimental procedure.
