New Criminal Justice System in Policing

1) Your research has been vast in regards to theory and application to said theories learned.
You have learned our system, our processes, our sentences, and our re-entry back into society. We have
seen previous attempts by our elected officials to regulate the system. Some have been punitive in nature
(3 strikes laws) and some have been exceedingly liberal in nature (bail reform). You, as future leaders,
current practitioners, and future academics have the ultimate responsibility to see what can be done in
order to promote equity within our system. So, with that being said, your paper will be about your vision of an equitable, fair, and just system.

I would like you to write a 8-12 page paper, double spaced, Font-Times New Roman, using 7 sources (can be any academic source you would like), about your vision of the “New Criminal Justice System”. You can focus in Policing, Courts, Corrections, or Public Policy. How would you
change the current status quo? How would your vision and theory promulgate fairness and equity? How
would your idea be just?

This is an “idea paper”. While there may be applicable application to your idea, I
would like you to write about your utopian ideal.
