Select a topic in the field of psychology that is of interest. Possible topics include psychological disorders, therapies, theoretical perspectives, theorists, careers in psychology, etc. After selecting a topic, a student will find at least two (2) articles from reliable sources (i.e. professional journals or professional magazines, professional websites, etc.). Please limit your search to the past five (5) years. After reading the articles, the student will write a two-four page paper summarizing what was learned from the articles and how the information can be specifically applied in the student’s personal and/or professional life. In-text citations are to be used when summarizing information from the articles, referring to statistics from the articles, or when using a direct quote from the articles. Be sure to list the articles as a source on the Reference page. Students can access the library resources here to locate an article. If students are unable to find an article of interest, students can use Google Scholar as an option.
