Compare and Contrast animated movie details in discription

Task- Using what you have learned about comparing and contrasting works, write an essay that makes an argument about two films/documentaries/TED talks, proving your point by comparing and contrasting your chosen texts. When choosing what to compare and contrast, you have a few options, which are listed below.

Requirements – For either option, you must meet the following requirements:

You will produce an essay that is three to five pages long. It must be at least three full pages long. (See Criteria for Success below for a note about grading for papers of different lengths in the range).
The essay must be a comparison and contrast essay that makes an argument.
You will write a thoughtful and worthwhile attempt at proving this thesis.
You must follow these guidelines for this and all essays: MLA style, double-spaced, one-inch margins, including page numbers with the student’s last name in the header, and Times New Roman size 12 font.

This is for animated movies only. The essay will focus on a claim/thesis while comparing and contrasting two animated movies. You will not just randomly compare and contrast points between two movies, but you will make an argument about these two movies that can be proven by comparing and contrasting points of the movie. You may choose two animated movies or classic fairy tales that share a political or underlying theme. There are plenty of complaints that cartoons are pushing an agenda. An example might be comparing and contrasting a classic Disney princess movie with a more modern movie such as Tangled or Mulan where the female characters are more capable and are the rescuers instead of the “rescuees.” Another example might be comparing and contrasting movies that deal with environmental issues such as The Lorax and Wall-e. A chart with film topics/options has been compiled for your convenience. It is not definitive, but it will help you discover some possible topics and films. You can find the document here: Children’s Animated Films for Option 1.
