Begin with an introductory paragraph with a brief intro to who the Puritans are and what they valued, then state a thesis (claim) which includes the two works that are going to be discussed (TAG). It can be opened or closed.
Include two examples of Puritan values in the essay and how the examples of that value are portrayed/connected to/ the quote is explained thoroughly and accurately.
CITED QUOTES THAT ARE WELL INTRODUCED IN THE SENTENCE.
Differences and similarities in the essays with such phrases as “unlike, like…” minimum of twice. There is a conclusion present in which student again TAGs and restates thesis (in a different manner than intro). No slang. Transitions between paragraphs and ideas are present and work well.
