Choose a fictional work (or part of the fictional work) from the assigned readings to focus on for the journal entry. Write down your direct reactions to and comments on any part of or the whole story that strikes, interests or even confuses you either in the margins, between the lines of the original text, or on an attached piece of paper. Mark the lines first before you comment on them. You may write directly on the reading packet and photocopy the pages you want to submit or photocopy the text to make your journal. You need not print or type, but please write legibly. each submission should contain at least 6 pages (including at least two pages of critical summary and analysis of the reading in general, and four pages of the original text on which you comment on specific lines.)
