Find one popular science article on Prosimians (sometimes called strepsirrhines)

I will be inserting instructions for the assignment as well as a prompt that I would like for you to follow:

1. Click “reply.”
2. Copy and paste the title of the article as the Heading of the post, and copy/paste the URL of your article beneath the article’s title.
3. Also provide a paragraph about the article that includes a concise statement of the research question or problem, a brief summary of the contents of the article and conclusions of the research, and a statement of how it relates to what you have learned in the course so far.
4. Comment on one other person’s post. A good comment will prove that you looked at the linked article by pointing out a particular fact or statement that you found interesting, and/or providing a follow up question.

NPR: Scientists Say These Monkeys Use An ‘Accent’ To Communicate With Their Foe

Ecological PhD student Tainara Sobroza studies the relationship between pied tamarins and red-handed tamarin monkeys in the Brazilian Amazon. Sobroza’s research has observed vocalizations used as territorial indicators between these tiny primates. Pied tamarins face extinction due to urbanization and loss of habitat. But they have another threat to their survival: the red-handed tamarins. Both exploit similar resources and interactions between the species have known to be quite violent. However, through the use of “territorial calls” the rival species know they are getting too close for comfort and help prevent violent interaction. Scientists analyzed these calls and noticed a change in pitch and volume to allow for sounds to travel further through dense rainforests; and interestingly, how the change in pitch to each species is comparable to human accents.
