Outline and Quote gallery

Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is to get you started with the planning of your Major Assignment 3, and to get some quick feedback on the initial plan. The focus will be on what points you plan to make to develop your paper, and the evidence you plan to use to support and illustrate each of these points.

Composing your outline and quote gallery:
Choose one of the topic options for Major Assignment 3.

For your chosen topic, provide an outline of the point or subject for each body paragraph (there should be at least 4 body paragraphs, each developing a different point).

Then for each paragraph list the quotes (or paraphrases or scene descriptions) from each of the sources that you plan to use to illustrate and support the point you will make in the paragraph. This may be done as a bulleted list.
A quote (or paraphrase) from Glaspell’s story
A quote (or paraphrase or scene description) from Kale’s film
A quote (or paraphrase) from one of the secondary source only if relevant to the point you are making (that is, not every paragraph will contain evidence from a secondary source, but you should quote from at least one journal article and at least one online source somewhere in your paper)
You do not need to explain the quotes at this time–you just need to show the evidence that you plan to use for each paragraph.

Works Cited:
After you have completed your outline and quote gallery, provide a works cited page listing all the sources you use in this assignment.

There are two partial models in this file: one for Option A and one for Option B (they correlate with MA 3 Example Paragraphs). Please note these are only partial models (covering two paragraphs each) to give you an idea of how to compose this assignment; you will need to provide an outline and quote gallery for at least 4 body paragraphs (as required by MA 3).

Submitting SWA 8:
When you have completed your outline and quote gallery, upload it to the SWA 8 dropbox folder; it is due by the beginning of class on Monday, October 31.
