Identify a change needed within your work environment. This assignment builds on the past few weeks as you will address both areas of conflict and potential stressors. You will both identify the problem and propose a solution. You will examine some of the drivers of that change as well as some potential areas of resistance. Finally, you will propose the recommended change within the framework of Lewin’s Change Model. This submission will consist of a 5-7 page paper that is supported by scholarly sources. Student thoughts- *Within the Washington, D.C. Veteran Medical Center, there is a change needed for emergency boarder patients to be seen by inpatient providers in to continue the care for the veteran. Currently, inpatient providers will not see a patient up for admission if they have a bed assigned prior to the Emergency room provider giving them report. There is always a need for inpatient med-surg or ICU nurses to help manage these patients. It would be beneficial to create a ED Boarding area/unit with 8 to 10 beds to help with decrease ED wait times and to provide superior care to these veterans as well.
