Patient Education Plan Discussion

Overview
This is an individual assignment. Each person will design a teaching pamphlet, leaflet, handout etc…for a patient.
Each of these patients are newly diagnosed, and need information about their disease, disease management, dietary considerations, and medications.
The information in your pamphlet should:

Use easy-to-understand information, using clear, short sentences and understandable terminology, including images.
Consider age appropriate materials.
Teach the patient about their disease.
Include three (3) medication teaching considerations.
Include dietary teaching.
Include three (3) outside resources (current — less than 5 years old, and reputable) the patient may use to gain more information.
Include a reference list.

If your last name starts with letters
Assignment: Your patient is a 6-year-old male, and has a new diagnosis of epilepsy. He has just started taking Tegretol.

Since the patient is 6-years-old please use age appropriate pictures that are easy to follow for a child & resources
