I have attached the Draft 1 of my research paper with the research question of: Should an individual’s income, race, or class determine their health and ability to maintain a nutritional diet?
Please extend on this research paper to 7 pages. Right now it is about 4 pages long. Feel free to edit what is already written.
PLEASE use Pinker’s article to talk about ethical analysis more throughout the paper. This is very important as this is an ethics class.!!!!!!
Here below is the guidelines for including ethical analysis
If your first topic paragraph after the Introduction is “setting the scene” and is a factual background of your case, no Ethical Analysis is needed there, but in all your other topics based on your Subsidiary Questions, Ethical Analysis must be applied as you are asking questions with ethical implications.
Remember to use both Pinker and additional Ethical Theories
It is of the upmost importance that you include as much ethical analysis in your Draft 1 as you can. After all, your research is not about X, but about the Ethics of X. As I previously mentioned, if your first topic paragraph is purely factual giving the historical background this does not need ethical analysis, but once you start answering your Subsidiary Questions, then bringing in ethical analysis is essential as they relate to the ‘Should’ question of your main Research Question.
If, for example, you are researching gentrification of a certain neighborhood, and your Subsidiary Question is “Are the original residents staying or being evicted?” then you could use Utilitarianism to ask if this is for the greater good of society, and Need to see whose needs are being met, and Deontology to see if the original population is being used as a means to an end, and so on.
The Subsidiary Questions become Topic Paragraphs. Check my research proposal for subsidiary questions.
Please only use the articles and journals I have cited in the draft, and use Steven Pinker’s article for ethical analysis. I added two more articles by George and Pathak- those are new articles, please use those in Draft 2.
