This is a group project – a literature review on JOB STRESS. The subtopic under job stress I have been assigned is OUTCOMES OF STRESS.
The subject is organizational behaviour in business not psychology
The idea is NOT to write copy and pick a reference that matches that subject matter. It’s looking at articles that are talking about the same subject, and weaving and creating a narrative around them
use the three articles (9,11, and 26) to write a literature review. Make sure it’s not choppy. It needs to tell a story … it all needs to flow together.
use the textbook (pages 266-310) to find a broad definition of outcomes of stress (for example there psychological, behavioral, physiological, etc) … as an intro into the story
focus ONLY on outcomes of stress no other topic for examples managing stress, etc.
a suggested outline would be a broad introduction, then the outcomes of stresses mentioned in the literature, then talk about the underlying variables of these outcomes of stresses in literature: for example, an outcome is depression, the underlying variable would be low self-esteem (from source 26). Discuss the different models and theories mentioned in the literature. What’s the independent and dependent variable whats the relationship between them
again, make sure you are telling a story – It must flow as a comprehensive review that connects various sub-themes. It should NOT read as distinct summaries of different articles.
again, make sure you are focusing on outcomes of stress as my group members are doing other subtopics under job stress
