Write a three-page essay convincing your reader about a debatable topic. It’s best to avoid topics that everyone argues about all the time, and find something that you can advocate for or against, that is important to you. Choose a topic about which you care, and to which you can bring a new perspective. Search the Library resources and find information to support your point of view. Use an in-text citation to give credit within your essay to the source of the information. Include a “Works Cited” page at the end of your paper (page 4), and list the information about the Library source. Try to prove your point using your own knowledge, and knowledge you gained from reading materials from the Library.
Three full pages, double-spaced, one-inch margins on both sides, Times New Roman 12-point font. Your name and “Argumentative Essay” go in the upper left-hand corner. After you type your name and the type of essay, leave only one blank lines, and then center your title on the following line. Indent the first line of each paragraph after that by using the Tab key. Leave just one space between paragraphs, not four. USE MLA CITATION FORMAT FOR YOUR IN-TEXT CITATION(S) AND YOUR WORKS CITED PAGE.
