Identify a quality issue or process improvement issue in a hospital or workplace that you have not addressed previously. Utilize key quality metrics to determine how you will increase the values of the KPI for the organization. Develop a target benchmark and a plan to raise the values.
For example, if the quality issue is an increase in C. diff due to a low percentage of employees who wash their hands, what type of plan are you going to develop to decrease the occurrence of C. diff?
Create a three- to four-page paper in APA Style, including a title page and a reference list. You must cite and reference at least three scholarly sources. You may use your textbook as a source.
Remember that you may not discuss a quality issue that has been used previously in the course. Find a new and unique topic. Review the materials in the Additional Resources folder for ideas.
