Discuss the very disappointing reality that our society is plagued by various ‘isms’ (racism, sexism, classism, ageism, etc), and how we might eradicate them.. You will chose a prompt and write your essay. The structure is similar to the 3 paragraph ones: intro, body, body, body, conclusion, again saving a final point for the conclusion. The essays should be 5 paragraphs and 400 or more words; again, minimum is not an A. There are 6 prompts to choose from, you must choose one, not write a little on all 6. Let’s try a metaphor… I hope that this metaphor will help you to understand what is required for a full answer on these discussion boards. OK, if I point in the corner and ask what that is; and you say it is a dog. When, in fact, it is a Great Dane balancing on its fore legs in a pink tutu wearing polka-dotted slippers; have you fully answered the question? (As they say: the devil is in the details.) No resubmissions, you get one chance to write and submit. The variables that effect your grade are: length, depth, clarity. Every one will receive direct feedback from the teacher which is designed to further deepen your take away. This will be run through Turnitin for plagiarism.
