In this assignment for the OUTLINE for the final project, you will develop a formal outline for your Final Paper. You will write this outline as if you were creating a draft of your Final Paper—the only difference is the way you format the content. The content in the body of your paper will be identified as being either main points or subpoints using traditional outline format labels, including Roman numerals, letters, and numbers. Every main point and subpoint should be written as a complete sentence. Your Final Paper Outline must include A separate title page with the following: Title of paper Student’s name Course name and number Instructor’s name Date submitted An introductory paragraph that includes a succinct thesis statement and provides a high-level overview of your paper. An outline of the body section that contains at least five main points. Include supporting material for each main point, incorporating at least two scholarly sources in addition to the course text. A strong concluding paragraph that summarizes the topics discussed and reaffirms your thesis statement. Remember not to introduce any new topics in your conclusion. A work plan detailing how you intend to spend the remaining time in this course revising and expanding your outline into the Final Paper that you will submit at the end of Week 5. Indicate in your work plan if you intend to work with the Writing Center as part of the revision process. When creating your timetable, assume you will have feedback on this outline no later than the Sunday after the outline is due. FINAL PROJECT DIRECTIONS
Throughout this course, you have learned about the way communication has changed over time with the introduction of new technological innovations. In your final paper you will demonstrate the knowledge you have gained by examining the relationship between technology and communication through different time periods (past, present, and future). You will also use critical thinking to predict how technology will affect communication in the future based on your analysis of the historical developments of the communication technologies that you have studied in this course.
Select three technological innovations that you would like to expand upon in your paper, one from each of the following sections in the Grant and Meadows (2021) textbook:
Electronic Mass Media (Chapters 6 through 10)
Computers & Consumer Electronics (Chapters 11 through 19)
Networking Technologies (Chapters 20 through 25)

For each of the three technological innovations that you selected, Determine which early communication technology had the greatest influence on the development of the technological innovation you selected. Explain the impact that each of the technological innovations you selected has on the way people currently communicate. Describe the effects of your selected technological innovations on interpersonal relations, groups, organizations, and society. Identify three key developments related to communication technology that you believe will occur within the next five years. Justify your predictions with evidence and sound reasoning. Identify three significant changes in the way people use communication technology that will occur at least twenty-five years into the future. Justify your predictions with evidence and sound reasoning. Summarize the topics discussed and reaffirm your thesis statement in your conclusion. Remember not to introduce any new topics in your conclusion.
A strong paper will justify the predictions made about future developments in communication technology by referencing the historical developments and trends discussed earlier in the paper.
