According to Wikipedia, the tale of 1,001 Nights was collected over many centuries by various authors, translators, and scholars across West, Central and South Asia, and North Africa. Some tales trace their roots back to ancient and medieval Arabic, Egyptian, Indian, Persian, and Mesopotamian folklore and literature. One thing common to all the editions of the 1,001 Nights is the initial frame story of the ruler Shahryār and his wife Scheherazade and the framing device incorporated throughout the tales themselves. I am attaching a video that shares the frame story about how Scheherazade used stories to entertain her husband, and saved her own life. Enjoy!

Can you share a short report (100-200 words) that highlights the content of the video, as well as how much you already knew of this frame story. Do you have any experiences with some of the tales that create the 1,001 nights?
