Plug in the three countries that you are researching – use your home country as a base and two other countries that you’d like to visit or work in.
At the bottom of the report there is a link to each country’s results. Read these results thoroughly and understand their implications.
Assignment Instructions
1. Go to the website Hofstede’s Cultural Insights.
2. At the bottom of the page, using the “Countries Comparison Tool”
3. Plug in the three countries that you are researching. It’s ideal to choose your country of origin and 2 other countries you’d like to visit or work in.
4. At the bottom of the report there is a link to each country’s results.
5. Interpret your results writing a reflection.
Assignment Format:
1. Using the chart given on Hofstede’s Insight website, copy and past the chart of the countries being compared on the top of the page.
2. Introduce the 3 countries that you’re analyzing. It’s a good idea to choose your home country and two other countries that you’d like to visit or work in.
3. Provide an analysis of the Hofstede’s SIX Dimensions of Culture of comparing each country to each other. In order to do this, you must thoroughly understand each dimension.
4. In paragraph format, analyze each dimension of culture for the countries being analyzed:
A. Power Distance,
B. Uncertainty Avoidance,
C. Masculinity/Femininity;
Collectivism/Individualism,
D. Long-term/Short-term Orientation;
E. Indulgent/Restrained
5. Provide a conclusion to the analysis.
