In December 2017, I was spending quality time with my family and my late Aunt. We were all just gisting and talking about what we needed for Christmas. I jokingly told my Aunt all the things that I wanted which she gave me some type of side eye; which made us both laughed together. When Christmas day came, it was time to say prayers, eat, and open up gifts. So after we finished praying and eating, I went straight to open up my gifts. I didn’t really know what to expect, and I knew that I was suddenly going to end up crying at one point (Which I didn’t do). I opened up my second to last gift which was from my late Aunt. I looked at her for a second and then she looked at me; which made us both smile at the same time. I tore the gifts apart so quick that my hands started to shake. As soon as I finished tearing the gifts apart, my face was numb and I just couldn’t believe what I saw with my own two eyes. It was a whopping $800 Playstation 4. I quickly ran and gave my Aunt the biggest hug that I could ask for. I never really expected her to actually buy this gift for me. That day really made me realize how much she really cared for me and deep down loved me with all her heart. Each day I constantly think about that moment, and I keep making sure to cherish it with me wherever I go. I know that she wouldn’t want to see her beautiful nephew cry.
