What is Multi-Ethnic Literature and Why is it a Separate Class?

Task:
Watch this video from Stanford Professor Paula Moya for a starting definition of Multicultural Literature, why it is important, and some suggestions for how to approach reading Multicultural texts:

Read the article “Multicultural Literature as a Classroom Tool” which examines the value of diverse Literature in K-12 classrooms.
Write a brief (1-2 paragraphs) response:
Summarize one or two points that come up in the video and/or article.
Share your thoughts about how these ideas might apply to college and/or our class.
Read and respond to at least one of your peers.
