Final Write on the Middle Ages
Choose one of our three questions:
Should we uphold or challenge the dominant view of this era as the Middle Ages, Dark Ages, or the dark Starry Night?

A good response will…
Follow proper MLA formatting
Be around 3-4 pages double spaced
Include an introduction with a clear thesis and some indication of the direction of your argument
Utilize and cite information and ideas from multiple readings (you do not need to specifically address all readings) in developing your argument
Cite by author’s last name and page number:

Be well-organized, with focused argument paragraphs (suggestion: outline your argument ahead of time and make choices as you cannot include everything)
Address information that challenges your thesis
Have a brief conclusion that goes beyond summarizing the main idea from the argument.
Stay focused and develop an argument. Avoid the “here is everything I know about the Middle Ages” response
Include a MLA-formatted Works Cited page that includes your outside research. You do not need to include the given readings/texts in your Works Cited page.
