For this essay, you can write it in what we
call “first person”—Such as starting the introduction with “In the period
from 1590 to 1877 in United States history, I think the three most
interesting….” And then tell your
reader your three topics and why they are important and why. There are no “right” or “wrong” choices, only
poorly argued or cited essays about them!
Here are two “easy” ways to approach
this question depending on your interests.
1. A. You can choose one person (or
one group of people) and provide three reasons why the history of them is
interesting to you.
2. B. Another option is to chose
three different people or events that you think are interesting because they
all fall under a single theme.
