Craft an informative and engaging title that both reflects your judgment of the piece you are critiquing, and you think would also interest your reader. The title, identifying information (student name, instructor, class, and date), and Works Cited do not count towards the overall word count.
Assume that your reader is familiar with the piece under examination, so you will not need to summarize or explain the piece’s content
Make sure you have an attention getter at the beginning of the Essay(introduction)
The CRITIQUE itself needs to be 2-3 paragraphs so roughly between 500-600 words
For the critique section, you MUST answer / address THREE of the following points of critique:
• Accuracy of Information: Does the information presented in the article appear to be correct and up to date at the time the piece was published?
• Definition of Key Terms: If the argument relies on specific terminology, are those terms clearly defined or explained?
• Clarity of Language: Has the author used language that could be misconstrued / misinterpreted, and thus confuse the reader as to the author’s points / ideas?
• Fairness: Has the author refrained from being overly biased or one-sided in their argument, acknowledging other points of view and presenting them clearly? If the argument is biased, what examples can you find of this bias?
• Logic and Organization: Is the argument arranged in a clear way that iseasy to follow? Does the argument appear to be rooted in logic / common sense? Have points been carefully developed, illustrated, and explained? Does the author overlook important events, developments, ideas, or information associated with the issue / topic?
