I have my previous work attached, 3 seperate free writes. Feel free to add to the story a better description but do not make it wildy out of context please. You should either choose one or combine a couple to continue a free write following the instructions posted below:
In this assignment you should draw on all of this writing to draft your literacy narrative essay. Choose one of your expansions (or maybe you’ve decided to combine more than one) and expand it further into the rough draft of an essay.
As you think about “essay,” let go of some traditional notions of academic essays: you won’t necessarily have a thesis for this one, and it certainly shouldn’t follow any particular formula for its structure. Notice that none of the professional essays conform to an academic formula. They are narratives, not academic essays. Each explores a complex relationship to what writing should look like and/or sound like. Your goal is to describe an experience with writing or language and reflect on how that experience helped shape your relationship to writing or language.
A rough draft should be complete in the sense that you’ve roughed out your beginning, middle, and end, though they might not yet be in your ideal order. {Heck, great narratives often work out of chronological order.}
This is medium-stakes writing. It requires more thought and revising-as-you-go than does a freewrite, but it is still very much “in the mud and muck” work. I’d rather see more writing with more errors than less writing that is more polished.
