Topic: Sickle Cell Disease
Health Disparity:
Due to a limited number of physicians who train to treat Sickle Cell patients, there are longer wait
times to see a doctor and get pain medication.
The student will compose an essay on a vulnerable population (that has not been discussed in a previous discussion board) and an instructor-approved health disparity related to this population. The student will identify, research, build upon, and/or create a method to help reduce/eliminate the health disparity in this population, not simply discuss a method that is already in place. When applicable, make sure to discuss any state or governmental involvement.
This paper should be approximately 3-4 pages and no longer than 5 pages (not including title and reference pages) and have a minimum of 3 reliable sources. Keep in mind that this essay should be researched based and only reputable sources and websites should be consulted. It must follow APA formatting (i.e., written in the third person, with proper text, font size, running heads, minimal quotations, no personal experiences, etc.).

8. References are completed in the correct APA format and the essay contains at least 3 reliable sources.
9. Essay body is written in the correct APA format.
10. Title Page is written in the correct APA format.
