Write a 500-600 word essay based on one of the prompts below.
Your neighborhood council is seeking ideas for an urban revitalization project that will benefit local biodiversity. Identify an ecological issue (habitat loss, pollution, urban heat island effect, etc) in your community and propose a project to address it. (Be specific!) Why should the council fund this project and how will it improve local ecosystems or help native species?
In your essay, be sure to include some concrete information about the biology that was covered in this unit, explaining either how and/or why this information is relevant to you. Make your essay personal! Additionally, you must do additional research to identify at least two reputable sources to support your writing.
