They don’t want to share the decision making with the union. Walmart created a document titled “A Manager’s Toolbox to Remaining Union Free.” It psychs up managers with lines like, “As a member of Wal-Mart’s management team, you are our first line of defense against unionization.”
In this assignment, reflect upon the idea of alternatives to unions, and create a two (2) page document based on the instructions below.
You have been given free rein to create a program with incentives to encourage employees to choose your employment and not the union shop down the street. Make sure to include these components:
1. Write a memo to the CEO with your program proposal.
2. Include incentives in your program.
3. Provide at least two (2) current resources to support elements of your program and your position.
4. Make sure your memo is at least two (2) pages.
