As you watch the film, please pay close attention to the correlation/link between American foreign policies and how they have led to more immigration to this country —-both legally and undocumented. To complete this assignment, you will write a short essay response that discusses and explains how American foreign policies led to immigration from the following territories and countries: Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, El Salvador. I recommend dedicating at least a short paragraph (4-5 sentences) for each territory and country and explain the correlation between American foreign policies and immigration to the U.S. from those territories/countries.
