Given technology today, would it be more feasible than in the past for the United States to become more of a direct democracy than a republic? What would be the benefits? The drawbacks? What did we learn from Athenian democracy, the Enlightenment, and our founders that would argue against making democracy more direct?

Each essay must be 12-point font, one inch margins and at least 500 words in length each, not including citation page. Make sure you appropriate cite the sources you use in your essay using any citation source. All three essays together should be at least 1500 words total. Longer essays are fine.
You should use at least 4 outside sources for full credit. Do not just rely on the textbook and make sure to back up your assertions with course materials and outside research.
Cite all sources you use in your essay. Use only peer reviewed, neutral news sources and CITE your sources using APA or MLA. It is not sufficient just to list your sources at the end of your essay; you need to also cite your sources within your essay
