For our next essay we will learn how to write about scientific information in an informative way using APA format. Your essay will include a title page, an abstract, your essay and a reference page. In finding sources to use in your essay, you’ll learn what sections of a research study to read, to skim, and to ignore when you are looking at 25+ page sources. Finally, you’ll learn the formatting differences for writing and citing sources in APA format. You will choose a topic within the broader categories of either mental illness or physical illness. You will narrow your topic in a thesis statement written in an informative format (you aren’t arguing in this essay, you are teaching your audience about your topic).
