Develop a 3-5 page (800 -1500 words) paper, 7-10 pages for a Team paper (2,000 to 3,000 words) not counting the Cover page and References page(s), which addresses and summarizes your research, examining issues and addressing the contributions, challenges and historic significance of 2-3 key persons in the Black Westward Movement of the United States. Develop discussion and analysis relating to the rights, issues and legal standing of Blacks in the United States during the period 1700 A.D. – 1920 A.D. Discuss the development of social attitudes regarding Black men/Black women on the Western front, comparing and contrasting attitudes towards mainstream population. In developing your critical analysis, note the following suggestions for incorporation:
• You might discuss the special circumstances of Blacks moving and establishing themselves in the westward diaspora in America, or
• You might discuss the particular legal issues for Black people in the west, during the specified period, and the methods by which they addressed these matters,
• –and/or—You might compare and contrast representations of Black frontiers persons with non-Black persons, as treated legally, socially and/or historically in America’s recorded annals.

Use the Internet or other library resources to conduct collegiate level research to locate, analyze, and evaluate appropriate scholarly sources of information to support the ideas presented in the paper. The presentation should follow APA formatting requirements, use correct grammar and spelling, and include a reference slide with at least four references.
