You are required to undertake primary and secondary research in order to develop a 10-minute presentation that compares and contrasts a cultural policy or policy approach in the UK and Holland. You will choose a current issue in cultural policy to use as your main policy area

Your presentation should explain:
What the policy area is;
What the main issues are (e.g. is this a subsidised sector that needs funding, or a commercial area that needs copyright laws reviewing) and what each country/city wants to achieve;
What the tools are that the government or local authority has at its disposal (legislation, taxation, funding, creation of bodies to support and develop etc.);
How each country deploys these tools;
What the outcomes are for artists, arts organisations and audiences (use the case studies you have researched in each country).
