Lesson Plan for language arts

You will be completing a lesson plan assignment as part of the course requirements AND also to satisfy the requirement for the MCCC national accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Select any language arts skill or word recognition skill such as a phonics concept (consonant digraph or long o sound) or structural analysis skill (compound words, contractions), and write a lesson plan for that skill using the lesson plan format in Lesson Plan Folder. You will also be presenting that lesson plan to a group of students in a child care center. There are four documents related to the assignment that are attached here. One is the assignment itself. In addition, there is a copy of the rubric that will be used to grade the assignment AND a sheet explaining in detail the criteria of the rubric, enabling you to know exactly what each part of the rubric means. If you pay attention to this information, you should do well on the assignment. The fourth document is a checklist that should be completed by the teacher in whose class you are teaching the lesson. Basically, the teacher is just letting me know that you showed up for the lesson, were prepared and acted professionally.
