Assignment Overview
Self-reflection allows for personal and professional growth. According to the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), learners should identify with the social work profession. The purpose of the assignment is for you to reflect on and appraise your Foundation Practicum 1 experience.

Assignment Description
In this assignment, you will begin to review your initial work as a generalist in social work practice, and uncover the opportunities for growth and development through your practice education experience.

2. Review and Appraise Your Experience
Think about your major responsibilities in the practicum.
What did you do well during the practicum? Share your proudest accomplishment. (complete psychosocial assessments, engage clients, meet with clients in the field and participate in groups (i.e. substance an mental)
Discuss the most important lessons learned during Foundation Practicum 1. (being emphatic, actively listening, asking open-ended question, using reflection and building better communication skills to gain rapport with the clients)

Discuss the support you received from the agency or organization, site supervisor, and other staff. (I was encouraged to ask questions when I was unclear, was given continuous support and there was always some their assist me when needed)
